Main cocoa crop season closes on June 9

Accra, May 27, NA - The Ghana Cocoa Board announced on Friday that purchases of the 2004/05 main cocoa crop season would end at the close of business on Thursday, June 9.

A statement signed in Accra by Mr Tony Fofie, Acting Chief Executive of Ghana Cocoa Board, said in order to assist the Licensed Buying Companies to obtain the final returns from their up-country stations, the Board had decided that returns on the declared purchases would be accepted up to 1600 hours on Thursday, June 16.
