MTN launches newsletter

Takoradi, March 18, GNA - MTN Ghana, on Wednesday, launched its External newsletter and a Government and Regulatory Relations news bulletin in the Western Region at Takoradi. Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh, the Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, who launched the newsletters, said the publications aim at enhancing public knowledge about telecommunications and the importance of Information Communications Technology (ICT) innovation to the individual.

She noted that the publications will be an important tool not just for promoting business but also to create more opportunities for free exchange of information between the reading public and MTN. "I would like to encourage you all to personally take interest in these publications and give the editor the needed feedback to respond to your information requirements", she said. She said the company is committed to supporting national development by implementing sustainable development projects through the MTN Foundation, pointing out that, through the Foundation, the lives of many people in the communities have been transformed in education as well as health.

According to her, MTN has invested over two million Ghana cedis into the Foundation, since it was set up two years ago. Mrs. Trebarh expressed gratitude to the media for their support over the past year, in promoting the company's business, in terms of advertisement, interviews and news, among others. Mrs. Georgina Asare Fiagbenu, the Editor of MTN Ghana Newsletter said the publications is to keep its customers informed, publicize and promote causes and issues which concerns the industry. =91We recognize that not every one of our stakeholders would be familiar with the issues regarding our business and this is why we consider this news letter as a tool to help facilitate the process of explaining the importance of the work that we do to the public", she explained. She said the publication contains stories and features on various issues as well as on sports.
