MTN introduces 'Spin The Wheel' promo

MTN Ghana has launched a promotion dubbed ‘Spin The Wheel’ that will give MTN prepaid customers an opportunity to win exciting prizes on a daily and monthly basis. The promotion, which commenced from 1st July 2017, will end on 30th June 2018.

Under the MTN ‘Spin The Wheel’ promotion, any prepaid customer who recharges airtime of GH¢1 or above will receive an SMS with a link indicating the number of spin slots earned. A customer who accesses the link can participate in the promotion by spinning. Customers can download the Spin App and save it on their phones. Alternatively, a customer can send SPIN to MTN short code 5040 to spin.

Once the customer spins, the result is instant and it is confirmed by an SMS. There are daily prizes to be won. Participants who do not win a prize upon spinning accrue points for the month. At the end of every month, points accumulated are ranked and the customer with the highest points for the month wins a Hyundai i10 car. The second and third winners will win a holiday trip abroad with their partners. Other monthly prizes include 4G-compatible handsets and cash rewards ranging from GH¢500 – GH¢2,000.

Daily prizes that are on offer are replica jerseys, power banks, MTN T-shirts and data-compatible handsets. Prizes won may be claimed at any MTN office of the customer’s choice.

There are two levels of participation – Silver and Gold wheel. All participants will be on Silver wheel by default. Participants may send VIP to short code 5040 to subscribe to Gold wheel and enjoy 10 points daily at an automatic renewal fee of 50 pesewas per day which increases their chance for the monthly win.

Commenting on the promotion, the Chief Marketing Officer for MTN, Asher Khan, said: “MTN is poised to continue to reward its customers for their loyalty. Customers are our greatest asset; we value and cherish our relationship with them. The promo will go a long way to deliver on MTN’s mission of making its customers’ lives a whole lot brighter.”

Customers who do not want to receive the invitation to spin after top-up may simply send NO to short code 5040 to be removed from the campaign. Customers have the opportunity to join the promotion again whenever they send YES to short code 5040.
