MTN Ghana has rewarded more than 20 customers with Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X smartphones in the Customer Yello Soiree for 2018 at the weekend.
The Soiree, held in Accra, was the last on the Company’s calendar for the year and gave customers the opportunity to win the phones by registering with their names onto the digital draw.
Customers who celebrated their birthdays on the day were also surprised with birthday cakes, smartphones, and champagne.
Mr Selorm Adadevoh, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana Limited, said the Soiree was integral to what MTN did to strengthen its customer relationship and appreciate their loyalty.
He said the Soiree was organised in other cities including Kumasi, Ho and Takoradi and that MTN would work with other stakeholders to provide customers with better services in 2019.
He said the Company anticipated to exceed the expectations of customers by investing more than the 140 million dollars it invested in the Network in 2018.
Mr Adadevoh said the Company took the complaints and negative feedback from its customers in good faith and would improve on them in 2019.
He expressed the Company’s gratitude to customers for making its objectives for 2018 achievable, which include giving customers an opportunity to own shares in MTN, extending 2G and 3G networks to villages, and connecting 20,000 fibre broadband to homes.
The CEO said the Company won awards including the African Brand of the Year, Best Customer Relations Executive and was nominated into the GITTA Telecoms Hall of Fame in 2018.
“These are all due to the loyalty and support of our customers.
People will forget what you did but not how you made them feel, so our goal is to make our customers feel good, therefore, we are going to dedicate 2019 to them as the Year of the Customer to celebrate them”.
Mrs Jemima Kotei Walsh, the Customer Relations Executive of MTN Ghana, said the Yello Soiree was introduced in 2015 and was the Fourth Edition in Accra but the 12th Edition in the country.
She said the Company would enhance its customers experience with the Network and promised users to expect more and better-innovated products and services in 2019.
