The Management of MTN a giant Mobile Telecommunication Company in Ghana has launched Mobile Money ATM Cash-Out Service in Kumasi. Launching the service to commence the five years celebration of MTN Mobile Money Service in Ghana in Kumasi, Mr. James Bukari Basintale, General manager of MTN Northern Ghana Business Sector, explained that the company had signed partnership agreement with ECOBANK Ghana Ltd and Fidelity Bank Ltd to enable MTN Mobile Money users to cash-out via the two bank’s ATM machines without using ATM cash card at throughout the country. He said that the service is aimed at preparing their customers for cashless economy which the company was leading crusader for it in the country since it would be one of the best ways to reduce the risk business people go through in the hands of criminals and fraudsters. Mr. James Bukari Basintale, stated that the introduction of MTN Mobile Money had created employment and a source of income for over ten thousand Ghanaians who served as merchants and agents throughout the country. He further explained that the company was focused to make mobile money the leading mode of payment in the country. He hinted that preparations were far advanced to partner with insurance companies , educational institutions and other organizations to ensure that their transactions could be done through MTN Mobile Money and added that they were targeting SME’s, especially , the Micro Finance Companies to enable their customers received their loan disbursements and repayment through their mobile money wallets.
