The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashaiman constituency Ernest Nogbe is championing a crusade to ban alcohol advertisements on airwaves.

There are new range of alcohol induced with ‘wee’ and ‘laka’ sold on the market which claim to boost sexual desires.

He argued that the advertisement is mostly targeted at luring the youth into alcoholism.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, the lawmaker suggested that the current laws that allows alcohol consumption at the age of 18 be reviewed.
