Lucy Quist to speak at Prestigious Wharton Africa Business Forum

Lucy Quist, Managing Director of Airtel Ghana and CIMG Marketing Woman of the year, is one of the keynote speakers at the 23rd Annual Wharton Africa Business Forum (WABF), an annual conference and platform for business leaders across the world to interact and share insights about their areas of expertise to inspire the next generation of world business leaders.

The prestigious event will take place from 13th -15th November at the University of Pennsylvania at the historic Loews Hotel in downtown Philadelphia attracting over 600 participants.

Lucy Quist will be speaking on ‘The Growth of the Telecommunications Industry in Africa” with emphasis on successful case studies relating to market entry and initiatives which fully utilize mobile phones and technology to transform and empower Africans. Lucy will also speak on the transformative power of technology, the growth of data and digital space on the continent with specific reference to Ghana.

To clearly demonstrate how Ghana has evolved in technology over the last decade and Airtel Ghana’s leadership in digital innovation, Lucy will participate in the forum through technology powered by Airtel Ghana’s superior data service.

Lucy Quist will be speaking alongside Hans Kuiper, a Partner from the Boston Consulting Group on Saturday. Other keynote speakers for the forum include Hakeem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Etisalat, Nigeria; Anna Bossman, Director, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Division, African Development Bank Group; Colin Coleman, Managing Partner, Goldman Sachs, Sub-Saharan Africa; and, Mosunmola Abudu, Founder, EbonyLife TV.

Lucy Quist was recently crowned the CIMG Marketing Woman of the year for her contribution to the telecommunication industry, her exceptional leadership, marketing insight and strategy development.

She has been involved in sharing insights on the telecommunications industry on several platforms including recently with Executive MBA students of Lancaster University in Ghana.
