President John Dramani Mahama is set to cut the sod for the construction of a major residential housing project by TDC Ghana Limited in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, marking the company’s first expansion beyond Tema.

The initiative represents a significant milestone in TDC’s history, as it begins nationwide operations following the revision of its legal mandate. Until 2017, the state-owned real estate developer was legally restricted to operating within the 63-square-mile Tema Acquisition Area.

Following the amendment of its mandate, TDC Ghana Limited is now authorised to undertake housing and related developments across the country.

The Ho project is the first practical step in implementing this expanded role.
