The launch of the One Million Coders Program was held at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT, Accra.
The program aimed to provide participants with essential skills in coding, data science, and digital entrepreneurship.
According to the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, the initiative was in line with the government’s commitment to digital transformation, youth empowerment, and job creation within the tech sector.
The pilot phase of the program has been rolled out in four key regions: Greater Accra, Ashanti, Bono, and Upper East. It targets a diverse group of learners and lays the foundation for nationwide expansion.
President John Dramani Mahama was the guest of honour at the event.
