Kingsman launches new product

Mr Kwame Osei-Adjei, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, on Friday urged Ghanaians to take the prevailing peaceful conditions in the country to develop the economy.

He was speaking at the launching of a multi-purpose executive office furniture produced by Kingsman Enterprises Limited, a private Ghanaian firm.

Mr Osei-Adjei said a fund, known as the Ghana Investment Fund, would soon be introduced to assist businessmen and women to expand their businesses, adding that about one million dollars will be pumped into the fund to enhance the economy.

The Deputy Minister appealed to businessmen to engage the services of university lecturers to assist them in the management of their companies and thereby induce them to stay in the country and not to seek greener pastures abroad.

In a welcoming address, the Operations Manager, Mr Sekyi Yorke, said the company was registered as a limited liability company in 1992.

Over the years, he said, Kingsman had carved a niche as an importer and dealer in top-notch quality consumer and non-consumer products.

The company, however, in 1996 diversified into the importation and distribution of office swivel chairs to meet the high demand for the product.

He said Kingsman Enterprise had started bringing in knocked down furniture components and parts which are put together at their assembling and refurbishment department. He said the company had undertaken a major step to grow its assembling department by more than 50 per cent of its existing capacity by the last quarter of this year to boost its export drive in the West African sub-region.
