The latest audited financial statements show that KGL Technology Limited, in 2024, paid GH¢157 million to the National Lottery Authority (NLA) as part of its financial injection for its 2024 fiscal year.
The single payment significantly surpasses any annual revenue the NLA had ever achieved through its own traditional operations, before the partnership begun.
The payment is part of a rapidly escalating contract that started at GH¢20 million in 2020.

In addition to the direct payment to NLA, the KGL digital lottery operation also contributed GH¢87 million in taxes to the Ghana Revenue Authority and paid out a record GH¢2 billion in winnings to Ghanaian lottery players.
The figures cement the KGL-NLA partnership as one of the most lucrative digital ventures for a state agency in Ghana, demonstrating the tangible benefits of leveraging private sector efficiency and technology for public good.
This injection highlights KGL's partnership with the NLA in boosting revenue streams to unlock unprecedented value without bearing the associated costs and risks.
