Isaac Adongo is afraid of his own shadow - Kokofu

Former Member of Parliament for Bantama constituency in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kokofu has taken a jibe at the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, who boycotted Parliament's probe into the collapse of some seven indeginous banks.

The Bolgatanga Central MP, though a member of the Finance Committee of Parliament, walked out of a meeting by the Committee on the issue.

He reportedly described the Parliamentary probe to ascertain the facts relating to the collapse of the banks as a "rubber stamp process, it will deliver no value [and] I am not willing to be part of it”.

According to him, the Committee has been furnished with only soft documents about the issue, hence demanding the hard copy of the documents to assist them in conducting a serious probe into the issue.

He further added the Committee has not been provided with all the relevant materials to have an independent and credible work.

But speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, Henry Kokofu believed the Minority MP is only afraid of his own shadow because of thinking himself to be knowledgeable in finances.

To Kokofu, Hon. Adongo is scared his almighty financial credentials will be put to test during the probe and so wants a "comfort zone" to please himself.

“He’s not fit for that purpose. He has also seen that, at that Committee level; he will be confronted with bare facts and evidence which will make it difficult for him to know the revelations. He calls himself financial mugu, someone well-versed in finances (luminary), who wants his colleagues in the NDC and supporters to accept him in such manner. So, he was afraid of his own shadow. He is and he was. The time he walked out, he was afraid. Today, he is afraid of his own shadow," he stressed.
