Vodafone Ghana has expressed its commitment to invest and build some 100 more cell sites to propel its robust network to meet the needs of its internet subscribers.
According to the Director, External of Affairs at Vodafone, the move comes as a result of the company teeming to propel its 4G spectrum that was earlier launched in 2019.
Mr. Gayheart Mensah speaking to reporters in Accra explained that; “We're currently planning to add 100 more cell sites to their current infrastructure in the coming year and I can assure our customers that the earlier challenges the network faced after the launch of the 4G technology have been worked on,” he assured.
As part of its efforts to bridge the gender inequality gap in technology, he said the company has trained over 2000 women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education nationwide.
He further disclosed that in 2019, the company's foundation has made over 100 charitable donations to patients that were unable to pay their bills at different hospitals across the country.
