Circles Council to rescue Kotoko from financial burden

Kumasi, Aug 17, GNA 96 The National Circles Council (NCC) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club has tasked the Regional Circles Council (RCCs) of the club to mobilise and raise enough money to support the team's management in the running of affairs of the club. The move forms part of measures being instituted by the NCC to assist management to meet some of the financial commitments and also boost the financial base of the Club.

A release signed by Mr Godfred K. Boateng, Secretary of the NCC issued in Kumasi on Wednesday, said the decision was taken at a meeting of the Council in Accra recently following the perennial inability of the team's management to meet their financial obligations. The release entreated the RCCs to strive to mobilise and forward the accrued money to the National Secretariat of the Club before the end of this month for onward submission to management.

It did not state the specific amount the RCCs are supposed to raise, however, it expressed the hope that the supporters will contribute generously to enhance the financial development of the Club.
