FA closes application window

The Ghana Football Association has ended its two-week period for the receiving of applications from qualified persons to fill the vacant position of head coach of the senior national football team, the Black Stars.

The FA would no more be receiving applications that come in after the close of business on Tuesday, 15th August, 2006, which happened to the deadline for submission of applications.

Members of the nine-man search team led by FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi who have been tasked to find a successor to the Serbian coach within a two months would begin accessing the credentials of applicants.

The position became vacant after Serbian coach Ratomir Dujkovic resigned his post last month citing his health as the reason for this decision to quit the Black Stars job.

Dujkovic surprisely quit the Ghana job after he led the Black Stars to the last sixteen place at the World Cup in Germany.
