Here's how much Shatta Wale paid for his seized Lamborghini Urus

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, confirmed the seizure of a luxury Lamborghini Urus SUV from dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale.

The 2019 Lamborghini Urus was seized in connection with financial crimes committed by Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian currently serving an 86-month prison sentence in the United States.

The FBI and the US Department of Justice had requested Ghanaian authorities to help locate assets linked to Amuah’s case.

The high-end vehicle, which was in Shatta Wale’s possession at the time of the seizure, was reportedly acquired using proceeds from Amuah’s multi-million-dollar romance and business email compromise schemes in the United States.

In a sharp rebuttal, Shatta Wale took to TikTok Live on Tuesday to address the matter.

He stated that he bought the vehicle from Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau, and paid a staggering US$150,000 for it.

“I am a third party to the Lamborghini… US$150,000. The car, I bought it at US$150,000,” he said during the livestream.

While distancing himself from the convicted fraudster, Shatta Wale insisted he had no connection to Nana Kwabena Amuah and only purchased the car in good faith.

He also criticised EOCO’s operation, describing it as an act of intimidation.
