HFC Bank opens new branch in Kumasi

Kumasi, Dec. 12, GNA - The HFC Bank on Friday opened a new branch at Kejetia in the Kumasi Metropolis. This brings its branches to 14 throughout the Country.

Mr Bekoe Palmer-Buckle, the Head of Marketing and Direct Sales of the Bank, noted that four more branches were opened in the country this year to help bring banking services to the doorsteps of customers. He explained that an additional one would by the end of the year be established at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region. Mr Palmer-Buckle said, the Bank does not only deal with people in the formal sector, but also those in the informal sector through the "Boafo" Micro-Finance to enable such customers expand their businesses. He added that the Bank had for the past years done this in conjunction with the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), by using the Informal Sector Fund (SSIS) as a security to access loans. The Bank offers services in Mortgage Banking, Investment, Retail or Commercial Banking, Brokerage Services and Reality (Building of Houses). Mr Palmer-Buckle encouraged the informal sector to call on the Bank any time help was needed.
