Kumasi (Greater Accra) 22 April ?99

Guinness Ghana Limited is to increase its annual production from 300,000 litres to 575,000 litres with the completion of its 10-million Pounds Sterling expansion programme in July. Mr Steve Wilkinson, Managing Director of GGL, said the expansion is the result of the improvement in the country's economy.

At a presentation of two computers estimated at four thousand Pounds Sterling to the University of Science and Technology Junior Secondary School in Kumasi, he said the presentation is under the company's assistance package for education, health, sports, environment and sanitation . He said the re-furbishing of the main labour ward and intensive care unit for premature babies at Komfo Anomie Teaching Hospital is expected to be completed in July, at a cost of about 250 million cedis.

Mrs Teresa Jackson, Headmistress of the school, thanked GGL for the assistance.
