Government to establish close political relations through Astana EXPO-2017

The National Day of Ghana was held as part of EXPO-2017. During the event Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah highly appreciated the holding of the exhibition, the Astana EXPO-2017 media center reported.

Ghana's Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, noted that the exhibition of this scale is designed to facilitate the discussion of important global problems and the development of knowledge allowing people to plan and monitor energy consumption on our planet.

According to him, the exhibition EXPO-2017 is marked by a broad theme "Future Energy", which is aimed at promoting and opening global sustainable solutions in the field of energy.

"Ghana participates in EXPO-2017 under the auspices of the theme "Ghana is a quay of renewable energy sources".

This fact underscores the commitment of the Government of Ghana as an active player in the implementation of sustainable solutions for the use and expansion of the renewable energy sector. But most importantly, Ghana's participation in this grandiose exhibition is another opportunity to establish close political and socio-economic ties between Ghana and Kazakhstan, as well as with other participating countries. This exhibition is an exceptional platform that can help to realize the energy needs of the world", the Vice Minister stressed.



In his turn, Aryn Berik, the Vice Minister of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of Kazakhstan, expressed his gratitude to the Government of Ghana for supporting Astana's candidacy for EXPO-2017 and actively participating in such an important event.



"It is encouraging that the National Pavilion of Ghana will make it possible to acquaint all visitors and exhibitors with this amazing country, its deep history and diverse culture and, of course, the measures taken in the field of development of renewable energy sources", he said.
