Government’s Energy Bond has been held up as an object of ridicule as Minority in parliament Wednesday teased the current administration over the poor outcome of the Bond.

The minority has indicated it will soon table a motion for the Finance Minister to be summoned before the House over the infamous case of under-subscription of government’s Energy Bond.

At a press conference on Wednesday, the Minority, led by former Deputy Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson, said “Ghana has become a laughing stock on the Financial market and now we’re being ridiculed; government’s economic management team has been subjected to mockery.”

According to the Minority Spokesperson on Finance, the bond issuance ought to have gone through parliament for approval.
