Chief Executive Officer of Supreme Hospitality Limited, Mr Nathaniel Johnson has said that the government needs to help entrepreneurs to create more jobs to absorb the teeming youth from our streets.

According to him, there is enough space in the hospitality and professional home management sector to absorb unemployed youth and help in solving the growing youth unemployment challenge facing the country but the government needs to express greater commitment to helping job creators to do that since they cannot do it alone.

"Entrepreneurs can succeed in helping solve our unemployment problem only if the government creates enabling environment and deliberately helps them to create jobs in various sectors," the passionate entrepreneur said when announcing the partnership between HomeMakers Pro, a leading employer in the professional home management space and Independent Parliamentary Aspirant for Damongo Constituency, Mr David Tiki Dange to employ the youth of his constituency.

The Partnership which, implementation commences immediately in March 2020 prioritizes Mr Tiki Dange's constituency in the recruitment process of the subsidiary of Supreme Hospitality Limited.

The former UN Security Advisor is supposed to register and regularly provide HomeMakers lists of young job seekers in his constituency for recruitment and job placement.

Giving his final approval to the partnership in his office, Mr Johnson narrated the frustration entrepreneur and job creators like himself endure in their effort to help solve the growing joblessness which, is supposed to concern government. He said, "we are just from the Savanna, Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions on a recruitment tour. We were shocked at the gravity of the socio-economic challenges including joblessness that we observed in their communities. But, nobody seems to care enough about the youth there."

"It is government's job to solve the unemployment problem facing the country, so, if we are helping to cure it, they must help us expand our operations to absorb the thousands of youth from these communities. We do not need to go beg people in government to appreciate how we are helping them to solve the biggest problem facing them and the country. But, this seems to be the case now. Elsewhere, it is rather a government that will run to the private sector or invite job creators to help solve socioeconomic problems like the severe joblessness facing the country," he observed.

On his part, Mr Tiki Dange said he is committed to helping the people of Damongo Constituency and cannot wait to become an MP before doing so. "I cannot look on unconcerned while my people endure perpetual deprivation and hardships in acidic poverty and joblessness," he said

According to him, this is part of the demonstration of his commitment to help solve the growing youth unemployment problem in his constituency.

Tiki Dange is launching his Parliamentary Campaign on 21st March ahead of the December 2020 General Elections. Analysts say he is the hottest candidate in the Damongo 2020 race, hence, likely to win the seat from the NDC and NPP duopoly between which the seat has dangled since 1993.
