Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Yofi Grant, has posited that the Akufo-Addo administration has created an environment conducive for private businesses to thrive.

According to Yofi Grant, there are numerous business opportunities in policies such as the 1 District 1 Factory, Planting for Food and Jobs as well as 1 Village 1 Dam. He asserted that the said policies were implemented by government to create enough working space within the business sphere for private businesses to engage in commercial activities.

“Even as you are here today, and you hear of government policies whether it is 1D 1F, one village one dam, Planting for Food and Jobs, there is an opportunity in all these policies. And they are not policies that government did for itself. Government created these policies to create the space and the opportunity for private people to engage,” Mr. Yofi Grant said.

Delivering his welcome address at the second edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Forum on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Yofi Grant charged young entrepreneurs present to take advantage of untapped business opportunities in the country.

“We are in a country that there is an opportunity around us. It is difficult if you are a private business person, but people have broken the barriers and created big businesses. Some of them have moved from table tops to enterprises and actual owners of businesses,” he advised.
