Gov't Expresses Concern On Nigeria's Ban of Ghanaian Exports

The ministry of finance has expressed concern about the banning of all Ghanaian exports to the Nigerian market except salt and sees it as a contravention of the ECOWAS protocol on free movement of goods and services in the region.

Speaking to The Chronicle, the deputy minister in charge of budget, Dr. Anthony Osei Akoto said they were concerned about the issue, saying that the ministry of trade and industry and regional integration and NEPAD were currently dialoging with their Nigerian counterparts to find an amicable solution to the problem.

Some Ghanaian have requested government to retaliate by also banning all products from Nigeria
