GoldBod suspends Evanex Gold Enterprise over illegal pricing

GoldBod orders traders and miners to cut ties with Evanex Gold Enterprise

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has suspended the trading license of Evanex Gold Enterprise, a Tier 2 licensed gold buyer.

The suspension, which takes effect immediately, follows the company’s engagement in illegal gold pricing.

GoldBod has warned traders, miners, and the general public against trading with Evanex.

In a compliance notice issued on August 28, 2025, GoldBod explained, "This action follows an adverse investigative finding of illegal gold pricing by the company, contrary to the terms and conditions of its license."

"Notice is hereby given to all licensed traders, miners, and the general public to desist from trading or engaging in any form of gold transaction with Evanex Gold Enterprise forthwith," the notice added.

Additionally, GoldBod emphasised that it remains committed to enforcing the laws and regulations governing the gold trading sector in the spirit of accountability and transparency.
