Ghana GoldBod has categorically denied reports alleging the loss of GH¢20 million worth of gold, describing the claims as fabricated and malicious.
In an official statement issued on July 31, 2025, GoldBod refuted the allegations, stating that it had become aware of a fabricated story that misrepresents its activities and goals.
"We want to make it unequivocally clear that this information is false…The claim that gold worth GH¢20 million is missing is completely baseless and lacks any factual grounding."
GoldBod attributed the claims to propagandists seeking to damage its credibility and undermine public confidence, stating that such claims are the workings of propagandists who have carefully designed the peddling of falsehood as a strategy to damage GoldBod's credibility.
GoldBod assured stakeholders of its unwavering commitment and encouraged the public to verify information through official channels.
It said, "We encourage everyone to rely on official communications from Ghana GoldBod for accurate and timely information".
