Gold Coast Resources, Inc. Opens Ghana Office

LAS VEGAS, Jan 7, 2004 -- Gold Coast Resources, Inc. management announced the establishment of an Operations Office in Takoradi, Ghana, West Africa.

The new office will be the home office of Joseph K. Annan, GSRS President and CEO. Patrick J.F. Hannon, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., the company's Chief Operating Officer will also be based in Takoradi.

The Company's growth includes the recent acquisition of the Akoon underground mine in the Tarkwa, Ghana region, which has a productive history of over 100 years.

The mine production records indicate that between 1912 and 1999 approximately 140 tons of gold (over 4.4 million ounces) was produced. The mine is located at the north end of the town of Tarkwa, in the Western Region of Ghana. The area has been a gold mining center for at least 100 years. Tarkwa is the capital for the Wassaw District, in the Western part of Ghana, 118 miles from the capital city of Accra.
