Gloria Akuffo urges GIA staff to work hard

Accra, Nov. 28, GNA - Aviation Minister Gloria Akuffo has urged employees of Ghana International Airline (GIA) to ensure that efforts to build the airline into a successful carrier yield the desirable results. She said for the fact that GIA was taking over from a failed national carrier posed a great challenge to them so they must brave the odds to succeed. "There will be challenges even by improvements we make," she added.

The Minister advised the employees to be orderly and always tackle problems according to laid down procedures.

Mr Marte Azu, Chief Executive Officer of GIA and chairman of the carrier's board of directors, said commended the work spirit of the employees so far, saying they were hard working and dedicated. "We have people here who have sacrificed - - Ghanaians, expatriates, all dedicated and working hard day and night," he added.
