Ghanaians Win Golden Award

Twenty Ghanaian companies and individuals have emerged winners of this year West Africa International Golden Award for excellence in enterprise.

Among the are the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Nana Wireko Ampem, Gyasehene of Akwapim, Prof. F.K. Oppong-Boachie, Director of the Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine, Onua Amoah, Managing Director, Anuanom Industries and Mr Kojo Thompson, Managing Director, SSB Limited.

The Award which is aimed at promoting professionalism, excellence, proficiency and integrity in enterprise in West Africa was instituted seven years ago by West Africa International magazine and is conferred on a few West Africans who have excelled in their chosen field of endeavour and those who have contributed immensely to the economic growth of the West African sub-region in the fields of commerce, industry, manufacturing, marketing, humanitarian activities, transportation, agriculture, politics etc.

The West Africa Golden Award will be presented to the winners at the 7th edition of the West Africa Integration Conference dubbed FORUM ON NIGERIA 2002 billed for Thursday May 9, 2002 at the Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana.

The Conference is being organised by West Africa International magazine with the support of the Ghana High Commission in Nigeria, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and the Nigeria High Commissiom in Ghana.
