Accra, May 21, GNA - AccTech Ghana, an accounting solution provider, has been certified by Sage Accpac International of the US to market the Sage Peachtree range of small business accounting software in Africa.

Mr Allan Harris, Managing Director of AccTech Ghana disclosed this at the official launch of the product in Accra on Thursday. Mr Harris said the current economic environment can be challenging for small businesses, particularly those using Microsoft Excel or a manual system to manage their accounting. He said small companies are the backbone of the Ghanaian economy, "that is why we have introduced Peachtree to assist this 'key driver' of the Ghanaian economy."

"It is critical in times like this that small businesses manage their finances and cash flow carefully," he said. Mr Harris said the Peachtree gives small businesses all the tools they need to do by providing the right balance of serious accounting functionality at a very affordable price.

"In addition the payroll and time tracking system has been tailored to meet the requirements of the Ghanaian market and the cash flow management features would not only assist the business owner, but meet the demands of the lending institutions."

He said with the Peachtree software, small business owners now have the opportunity to meet the demands of all their accounting and administrative functions including VAT, SSNIT and IRS returns. Peachtree already supports the needs, challenges and dreams of nearly six million small and medium sized business customers in the U.S. Peachtree features include quotations, invoicing, purchasing, bank reconciliation, project tracking, in-depth inventory, payroll, time and billing, audit trails, screen-level security, and more. 21 May 09
