Ghanafin salutes Black Stars

Accra, Feb. 4, GNA - Ghana Financial Services - a micro finance company, has congratulated the Black Stars, the senior national team, for recording a sweet victory over the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the quarterfinal stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament. In a statement jointly signed by the Managing Director, Mr Kofi Adu-Mensah and Mr Ben Fankah, Manager-Corporate Marketing and Public Relations, said the performance exhibited by the Stars was a clear indication of their determination to win the tournament. According to the statement, the Stars had also proven that they had the character and other vital ingredients necessary to realise the 'Host and Win' agenda.

It said, the victory of the Stars' was not only to the realisation of the positive dream, but a confirmation of the fact that Ghana reigned high as compared to Nigeria when it came to football.

It said the Stars had demonstrated to all that the performance they put up at the last World Cup was not a fluke but a true presentation of Ghana's version of samba football dubbed "Agro soccer".

The statement urged the team not to be complacent by the victory, but rather to remain focused for the task ahead since their performance so far had sent shivers down the spines of other competitors. "These competitors would have no option than to come fighting with all they have but we believe in your ability to scale over them.

"We wish them the best of luck in all of their future matches. The statement called on all to support the team in their attempt to give the nation her fifth continental trophy.
