Ghana will host the Success African conference in Accra from October 5 to October 26. The conference on the theme: “Defying all odds” marks the 7th edition of the African Young Leadership and Entrepreneur’s Summit.
A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday by Mr Albert Kusi, Chairman of LEC Foundation, organisers of the event said the conference is to develop next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. It said for the past six years the foundation had organised series of leadership and career development seminars for tertiary students and senior high students.
The statement said in the quest to reduce graduate unemployment, the Foundation believes the conference would enable young people to discover themselves and get the opportunity to be mentored to start and manage their own businesses.
It said topics to be discussed at the conference include Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Career Development. “Resource persons include KSM, Obafemi Banigbe of Tigo, Dr Frank Adu of CAL Bank, Dr Stephen Enchill of First Capital plus,” it added.
It said Institutions to host the event includes University of Ghana, University of Mines and Technology, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Cape Coast.
Some renowned personalities will be honoured with the Leadership and the Entrepreneurship Gold Award as recognition of their unique achievements in their field of endeavour. Nigeria and Liberia will also hold the event from November 2 to November 8.
