Ghana’s major airports now safe for domestic travels – Aviation Minister

Ghana’s aviation sector is set to commence domestic flight operations from the Kotoka International Airport to other cities in the country beginning Friday, May 1, 2020.

According to a statement signed by the Minister of Aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda and copied to GhanaWeb, all measures and protocols have been instituted to ensure smooth and safe operations for all domestic travels.

“The Ministry wishes to assure the general public the country’s airports are safe as they open up for domestic operations and government remains committed to safety of passengers and service providers as part of measures to restoring normalcy to the aviation industry,” the statement said.

“We will review laid down protocols during the domestic operations and when necessary, introduce improved procedures to further enhance the measures to strengthen the fight against coronavirus pandemic as it affects the aviation sector,” it added.
