Ghana is stepping up efforts to strengthen its mining partnership with China as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Sulemana Yusif, leads a Ghanaian delegation on courtesy calls to key officials of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region ahead of the China-ASEAN (Guangxi) Mining Cooperation Conference in Nanning.

The delegation is expected to meet the Vice Chairperson of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Sui Guohua, and the Chairperson, Wei Tao, on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

The conference is expected to bring together government officials, mining industry players and other stakeholders to explore investment opportunities, promote partnerships and advance cooperation in the mining industry.

As part of Ghana’s participation, Sulemana Yusif will deliver an address at the opening ceremony and visit the Ghana exhibition stand, which will showcase the country’s mining investment opportunities and potential for strategic partnerships.

The Deputy Minister is also scheduled to participate in Ghana’s National Mining Promotion Session under the theme, “Resource Synergy: Industrial Chain Co-construction”, where Ghana’s vision for a more integrated and value-driven mining industry will take centre stage.
