Ghana-Cote D'Ivoire Trade To Be Boosted

Steps to boost trade between Ghana and Cote d' Ivoire received a shot in the arm today with the launching of the Second International Investors Forum scheduled for Abidjan, Cote d' Ivoire, this year The Forum, under the patronage of President Henri Konan Bedie, takes place between November 25 and 28. It aims at promoting the economic potential and investment opportunities in Cote d' Ivoire in a more enabling environment. It also seeks to offer economic players in the West African sub- region an ideal occasion to display their know-how and establish business contacts among themselves in order to build partnerships with foreign investors. The forum is being coordinated by the West African Enterprise Network (WAEN). According to Ms Mariam Toure, a WAEN member who launched the forum, it will provide a one-stop market for foreign investors who often need a larger market for investment. She said the first major dimension of the forum is to focus on the processing of natural resources which are considered the backbone of industrial development policy. gri...
