Rebecca Adwoa Awuah of Ghana Television (GTV), Saturday night emerged the overall Business Journalist of the Year at the second edition of the Gold Awards for Business Journalism 2013.
The Gold Award is given to the most respected and prolific business journalist whose works influenced business communities across board.
According to the award jury, Rebecca’s exceptional talent and professional skills in business journalism has contributed immensely to the growth and promotion of many businesses both in Ghana and abroad.
The jury also handed Madam Rebecca Awuah another award for the Best Economic Reporter of the Year.
According to the Head of the Award Jury, Matilda Asante, the jury received equally good and competitive entries based on fact findings, accurate figures and in-depth analysis with relevant research.
This she said saw Rebecca as the overall winner upon going through a strict and transparent process.
Mr. Elijah Iposu, Project Director for Gold Awards, congratulated all award winners and challenged Business Journalists across the country to probe and conduct intense investigations into policies in order to ensure transparency in the business environment and the entire nation.
