GSE index slips

Accra, July 28, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange slipped downward during Friday's trading on the losses of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB). The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, went down by 0.54 points to 4,891.60 from 4,892.14 points.

Change for the year to date was 2.57 per cent.

There were four price changes, two either way.

ECOBANK was up one cedi at 11,571 cedis while Fan Milk Limited also gained one cedi at 16,005 cedis. GGBL lost nine cedis at 9,590 cedis while GCB was poorer by two cedis at 6,310 cedis Total shares traded were 138,800 cedis and market capitalisation was 97,242.28 billion cedis.
