GSE inches in quiet trading

Accra, Aug. 17, GNA - The Accra bourse inched up in quiet trading on Wednesday that saw two equities making gains.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, was up by 0.13 points to end trading at 4,837.30 points from Tuesday's 4,837.17 points. Change for the year-to-date was unchanged at -28.85 per cent. There were two price changes, both up.

Enterprise Insurance Company was three cedis better at 5,005 cedis while Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was up by two cedis at 6,017 cedis.

Shares that changed hands dropped to 254,700 from 373,800 on Tuesday.

Market capitalisation was up at 91,989.70 billion cedis from 91,989.29 billion cedis on Tuesday from 3,383.22 issued shares.
