GSE Index slumps again

Accra, April 27, GNA - The GSE All-share index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Accra bourse, slumped in trading on Monday closing down by 116.09 points at 8,964.55 points from 8,980.64 points on Friday.

Change for the year to date now stands at -15.02 per cent. Shares that changed hands went up to 48,200 from Friday's 4,100. Market capitalisation closed the session down at GH¢17,782.21 million from Friday's GH¢17,866.74 million. On the broader market, there were six price changes - four down and two up.

CAL Bank again lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.30 and Ecobank Transnational Limited lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.41, Fan Milk Limited lost GH¢0.40 at GH¢3.00 and Goil Ghana Limited was GH¢0.01 poorer at GH¢0.29. Ghana Commercial Bank gained GH¢0.06 at GH¢0.61 and SG-SSG was GH¢0.01 better at GH¢0.56.
