GSE Index in marginal gain

Accra, Aug. 20, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the key gauge was up marginally by two points in dull market that saw four price gains and a loss.

The index went up to close 7,466.71 points up from the previous close of 7,464.71 points.

The change year to date now stands at 110.13 per cent. Total shares traded rose to 1.4 million shares due to a block sale by Accra Brewery Limited.

Market capitalisation ended higher at 98,152.13 billion cedis up from 98,140.86 billion cedis from 3,38.89 million issued shares. On the broader market, there were five price changes - four positive and a negative.

Enterprise Insurance was up 300 cedis at 4,700 cedis, Mobil Oil Ghana Limited went up one cedi at 36,859 cedis; Fan Milk gained one cedi at 9,503 cedis and Accra Brewery Limited 15 cedis at 1,480 cedis. The only loser was Clydstone, which lost five cedis to close at 1,600 cedis.
