GSE Index goes up in quiet trading

Accra, May 11, GNA - Trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) was quiet on Thursday with the main index inching up slightly. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock measure, gained a marginal 0.33 points at 4,789.42 points from 4,789.09 points on Wednesday and change year to date was 0.43 per cent.

Total shares traded were 107,000.

On the broader market there were three positive price changes. Aluworks gained nine cedis at 6,529 cedis; Ghana Commercial Bank was up two cedis at 6,310 cedis and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited was up by one cedi at 8,701 cedis.

Market capitalisation was up at 92,453.44 billion cedis.
