GSE All-Share index up in quiet trading

Accra, March 21, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure, rose by 4.27 points to close at 5,067.90 points in quiet trading on Wednesday.

Shares that changed were 158,500 with SG-SSB Limited selling 150,000 out of them.

Change for the year inched up at 1.24 per cent. On the broader market, there were four price changes, all positive. SG-SSB Limited led the pack with 170 cedis to close at 6,300 cedis; followed by Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited, a blue chip company on the GSE, with 10 cedis rise at 168,010 cedis and ECOBANK Ghana Limited and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited with six cedis and a cedi gain at 14,025 cedis and 9,352 cedis, respectively.

Market capitalization closed higher at 112,867.89 billion cedis from 112,842.35 billion cedis on Tuesday.
