GSE All-Share Index takes a dive up

Accra, April 24, GNA - A 47 cedi loss by the British America Tobacco (BAT) forced the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All Share Index down by 1.12 points, notwithstanding, marginal gains by three equities during Wednesday's trading.

The index moved down from 4,771.33 points on Tuesday to 4,770.21 points on Wednesday.

Change for year to date was 0.02 per cent and volumes of shares traded were 99,600.

On the Broader Market BAT lost 47 cedis at 3,000 cedis, while Aluworks (ALW) gained three cedis at 6,225 cedis and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) and Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) gained a cedi each at 6,221 cedis and 6,908 cedis, respectively. Market capitalisation was at 92,395.52 billion cedis.
