GPHA workers intensify demo today, call for resignation of Transport Minister

The Chief Steward for the Workers Union of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Emmanuel Arhin Young, has revealed that the Workers Union of the GPHA will, today, Monday, raise red flag against the government over the MPS contract.

Speaking exclusively with ATV' Danso Abiam, Mr. Arhin Young said this is going to involve all ports and and harbours across the country, unlike the earlier one which was organized by only the Tema Ports.

The Chief Steward, who is the official mouthpiece of the GPHA Workers Union and the former NPP Constituency Organiser for Tema West, Arhin Young, said, the Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, should resign with immediate effect.

"By the power confided in me as the mouthpiece of the workers Union of GPHA, I am calling on him to resign as the Minister for Transport now or face the wrath of the workers," Arhin Young said.

The workers across the country will tomorrow be in the state of mourning in protest against the government to show dissatisfaction over the MPS contract.
