GOIL and SIC gains push index up

Accra, Dec. 29, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange edged slightly by 2.21 points on Tuesday to close at 5,440.21 points on gains in two equities. Tuesday's gain reduces the year-to-date loss to 47.85 per cent.

Traded volumes closed the session lower at 64,702 shares with GOIL and CFAO, among the top sellers.

On the broader market, there were three price changes - a negative and two positive.

GOIL gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.15 and SIC went up by GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.27. CFAO dropped by GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.03. Market Capitalisation ended the session at GH¢15,780.96 million.
