GN bank rewards loyal customers

The GN Bank has honoured about 200 of its loyal customers in the Ashanti Region.

The occasion was also used to launch some novelty savings products of the bank, including its flagship Kiddie - an enhanced savings product for students.

The customers took home certificates, LED television sets, standing fans, micro-wave oven, Digital decoders, among other prizes.

The event, part of a nationwide programme, was held in Kumasi on Thursday and it attracted a huge patronage of the bank’s clientele, traditional authourities, religious leaders, peers from the banking sector and other stakeholders.

Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, President of Groupe of Nduom, made up of 40 companies including the bank, rallied Ghanaians to value home-grown businesses and support local institutions to help bolster the economy.

He explained that Europe, America and China, are where they are now because they accepted, supported and patronized indigenous products and services to retain the proceeds for development in their respective countries.

Dr Nduom who is also the flag- bearer of the Peoples’ Progressive Party (PPP) said foreign investors were profit- oriented and would leave at the slightest challenge.

The Business magnate stressed that the GN Bank, whose aim was to grow the small-scale business sector, has established 120 branches and it was expected that by the end of this year, the number of branches would have increased to 300.

Dr Nduom said to make banking easier, safer and more convenient for customers, charges on cash withdrawals and deposits had been removed, while a Global Positioning System (GPS) a device that accurately calculates geographical location by receiving from satellites.

Nana Baffour Adjei Kese, Adumhene who chaired the event urged Ghanaians to transact business with banks that give good lending and interest rates.
