The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has issued a public alert about a rising number of fraudulent recruitment and contract advertisements circulating on social media platforms.

In an official statement, GETFund revealed that these fake announcements often come with convincing forms and misleading information, falsely claiming that the Fund is hiring or offering contracts through unofficial channels.

These scams are designed to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals.

“The public is advised to treat such adverts with the utmost suspicion. They are entirely false, deceitful, and intended to scam innocent individuals,” the statement warned.

GETFund emphasized that it does not conduct recruitment, supplier registration, or contractor engagement through unverified online platforms.

It said all legitimate announcements are made exclusively via the Fund’s official website and verified social media accounts.

The Fund also encouraged the public to verify any suspicious messages and avoid paying money to individuals or groups claiming to represent GETFund without proper verification.

It further encouraged the public to report such scams to the nearest police station or to the GETFund Secretariat, located at East Legon.

Since its inception, GETFund has upheld strong corporate governance standards and transparent systems in all public engagements.

It reiterated its dedication to protecting the public from fraud while maintaining its commitment to accountability and integrity.
