GCB expresses gratitude to customers

Sunyani (B/A), Dec. 27, GNA - Mr Ebenezer Ntreh, Brong-Ahafo Area manager of Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), has expressed gratitude to the bank's numerous customers in the region for their loyalty and faith with the bank.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, in Sunyani on Saturday, Mr Ntreh said notwithstanding the competitive banking operations in the region, GCB had still captured the market. He attributed the bank's success to new enticing conditions for customers like loan facilities especially for the payment of school fees and improvement in services.

The Area manager assured customers of continued improvement in services and appealed for the effective use of the bank's suggestion box to ensure the correction of any inaccuracies in its operations. On behalf of the management and staff of the bank, Mr Ntreh wished customers a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

In another development, Mr Kofi Okyere Boateng, Sunyani Branch Manager of the National Investment Bank (NIB) said the bank was operating without any difficulty at its newly acquired complex building. He said students could start saving with the bank with an initial deposit of 50,000 cedis and other customers with a minimum of 200,000 cedis.

Mr Boateng said the bank, as at December 18, this year had granted 22 billion cedis in loans to customers, who included contractors, to speed up GETFUND projects in the region.

He added that the success of the banking industry depended on trust and advised customers to be faithful to the bank by repaying their loans as scheduled.

Mr Boateng said the bank gave loans to customers to enable them celebrate the Christmas and plans were advanced for recruitment of local staff.

He wished customers of the bank a merry Christmas and prosperous new year and urged them to fulfil all their financial obligations to the bank for better services.
