GCB appoints Asaga, Ricketts-Hagan onto its board

Ghana Commercial Bank has appointed a former Employment Minister, Moses Asaga and a deputy Finance Minister Kweku Ricketts-Hagan onto its board.

The appointments of the two non executive directors take effect from July 31. Until the last election, Mr. Asaga who was also a former deputy Finance Minister was the MP for Nabdam.

Mr. Ricketts-Hagan is the current MP for Cape Coast South.

He served on the government transition team and in the economic sub-committee and was also part of the advisory team that put together the 2009 budget.

The two are replacing Fifi Kwetey, Minister of Financial and Allied Institutions and Lovelace Prempeh.

GCB posted 90 million Ghana cedis profit, an 80.1 percent increase for the first half of this year.
