The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has allayed fears of possible flight disruptions as members of the Ghana Air Traffic Safety Electronics Association (GhATSEA) plan to embark on an indefinite strike on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and sighted by GhanaWeb Business, the Authority said it has activated comprehensive contingency measures to ensure the uninterrupted provision of air traffic services across the Accra Flight Information Region (FIR).

According to the GCAA, a detailed CNS/ATM Systems Contingency Plan has been deployed to safeguard both domestic and international flight operations during the planned industrial action.

The plan includes structured operational procedures, dedicated response teams and enhanced coordination to uphold aviation safety and efficiency.

The Authority urged airline operators, aviation stakeholders and the travelling public to remain calm and assured, emphasising that safety and service delivery standards will not be compromised.

“The GCAA remains fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of air navigation service delivery and ensuring the safety and security of all flights within Ghana’s airspace,” the statement said.

The Authority further indicated that it would continue to invest in staff training and welfare as part of its commitment to strengthening human capital within the aviation sector.
