Frank Beecham appointed new Access Chairman

Seasoned lawyer and a past National President of the Ghana Bar Association, Frank Beecham has been appointed the new Board Chairman of Access Bank Ghana.

He succeeds Herbert Wigwe, who was recently appointed as the Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc, Nigeria.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Beecham said “the re-organisation of the Ghana Board is demonstration of a strong institutional commitment to sustainability and a robust succession plan”.

“Ghana is an important market within the Access Bank Group and we have an experienced team whose diverse professional knowledge, skills and competencies will enable us drive the Bank’s strategy”, he said.

“I am confident that together, we will build upon our successes thus far and support our parent company to achieve its vision of becoming the World’s Most Respected African Bank”.

According to him, Ghana is an important market within the Access Bank Group.

In a related development, the bank has also appointed Ernest Mintah and Abena Amoah, as non-executive directors. This brings to four, the total number of Ghanaian directors on the board.
